Dieting doesn’t mean you have to give up your social life. It took me YEARS to figure that out! Of course, throwing back several drinks every single night isn’t good for your waistline (or your health for that matter), so there are some limitations.
But being able to enjoy a glass of wine with dinner every once in a while? And still lose weight?
Honestly, knowing I can enjoy a drink here and there can make all the difference in how long my diet lasts. And I hated being on a super strict fad diet where I felt like I had to hide out at home in order to stick to it. Life, including weight loss, is all about balance after all.
With that being said, I’m sharing with you here the best low-calorie drinks that can fit in with virtually any diet!
At just 106 calories per drink, with no added sugars, the vodka soda is a great drink to savor whether you’re relaxing at home or out with the girls. Plus, because of the higher alcohol content, you probably won’t be tempted to get very many of these.
A Glass of Red Wine
Ah, my favorite. I love wine, and I certainly prefer red. At just 125 calories per glass, you can enjoy a glass completely guilt-free. Red wine is also good for your heart. What’s not to love?
Another fan favorite (me being the fan). Light beer has been a go-to drink for me, especially if I am on a low carb diet. Personally, I love the flavor though I know that isn’t true of everyone. However, most light beers come in at just around 100 calories - or less - and definitely won’t wreck your diet.
Meeting personal health and fitness goals is important - but so is quality of life. Feel free to enjoy a drink here and there - you’ve earned it!
